The second season of Buck Rogers introduced The Searcher, an explorer ship intended to seek out the lost tribes of Earth.  The ship was based largely on the USS Discovery from 2001:  A Space Odyssey.

The most stylish of all the Buck Roger’s designs was its last, Hawk’s fighter.  Although very comic bookish, this remains one of the best designs from any Sci-Fi television series.
