You simply can’t be a science fiction fan without having a love for “B-Movies”.  These films have their own class, their own style, and an amazing lack of budget.  The acting is usually rough, the script somewhat choppy, but somewhere in the mix, there develops an unmistakable charm that wins you over.  You don’t mind that the monster is a man in a cheap rubber suit.  You don’t mind that the aliens are using props that look remarkably like common household items.

Sometimes the fun lies in the overwhelming stupidity of the movie, it being so horribly bad that you can’t believe anyone actually made such a film.  Yet, we all continue to watch, commenting on just how terrible such a film is, all the while ensuring that we don’t miss a minute of it.

Yes, B-Movies are really the true foundation of our love for science fiction.
